The phrase took the title of worst password in the world in 2013 and has retained its title ever since, beating out the ever popular “password”

The top ten worst passwords for 2017 are as follows:

  1. 123456
  2. password
  3. 12345678
  4. qwerty
  5. 12345
  6. 123456789
  7. letmein
  8. 1234567
  9. football
  10. iloveyou

The list of 100 passwords is intended to educate people about the importance of using strong passwords and encourage them to review their security practices.

If you are using passwords that appear on the list, change them immediately, as they are easy to guess and already in password cracking databases used by hackers.
